The latest trend in gardening: green gardens are back

For years, it was almost a sport to keep your garden as clean and modern as possible. Everything tiled, a bonsai tree in the middle and a trendy lounge set; you loved your garden. So did the rest of the street, because they had the same thing. Now it is a trend to go for a green garden again. And rightly so. Your garden is a place to bring a bit of nature into your home. People are born in nature and it does them a lot of good to spend time in it. It brings peace. There is only one problem; lawn weeds. Just kidding, lawn weeds can be easily removed. The real problem is maintaining these green gardens. Many people do not know how to do this. That’s why this blog will tell you about the current trends in gardening and the easiest way to maintain them.

Green gardens are in fashion

It is all the rage: green gardens, literally and figuratively. By figuratively we mean sustainability. With sustainability comes a lot of nature and greenery. Maintaining and planting the garden in an environmentally responsible way is therefore more important than ever. Nowadays, there are even biodegradable plant pots. The pots are not harmful to the environment and because the roots of the plants are forced to grow downwards, the plants are also firmer and become stronger. The message on many of the gardening fairs is; make your garden green again. Get a big lawn surrounded by some beautiful (and even functional if you want to go all-out) plants. If you haven’t got a lawn yet, make sure to plant some grass seed during the late summer. The soil is warm at that time of the year and there is some damp from the rain. In short: it is the perfect time for your grass to grow.

How to maintain your green garden

The easiest way to maintain your green garden is to simply hire a gardener. It is very understandable if this is too expensive for you. In that case, it is best to just do it yourself. It saves you money and is quite relaxing too. Fortunately, there are all kinds of tips and tricks to make gardening easier. There are all sorts of handy tools for sale at garden centres and DIY stores these days. For example, a weed claw on a long stick, so you don’t have to bend over too much. To get rid of the moss on your patio, you can also use a pressure washer, which is very convenient.
