Friday, September 18, 2020 – A Camden County police officer stands guard in front of the home of two married county police officers after their home was hit with gunfire.

They netted four suspects using surveillance video, spent shell casings and a new practice called geofencing, where police ask tech companies for information on any cell phones near a crime scene and then work backward to determine possible suspects or build a case against someone.

Julio Nieves, 19, Jeremiah McDonald, 18, Jaqwa Styles, 19, all of Pennsauken, and Kobbie Johnson, 30, of Collingswood, are all charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to

Globe gains momentum on data and video experience improvements, well-ahead of aggressive builds

Globe has been consistently upgrading its network and accelerating infra builds as part of its efforts to provide better data experience and connectivity to its subscribers. Prior to the pandemic in 2019, Globe spent P51 billion in capex to increase its builds, putting up 139% more cell sites compared to 2018.  As a result, 4G base stations of the company increased, putting up 28% more than 2018, doubling the deployment of massive MIMO (multiple input, multiple output) sites, thus considerably adding more data capacity.

For 2020, the company committed to spend Php 50.3 billion in capex, a large portion of which is allotted for its network upgrade initiatives.  This year there is a lot of optimism to do more

  • Twitter has been working on “decentralizing” its workforce since 2018, including adding resources and policies to make life easier for remote workers.
  • Some teams at Twitter have invented hand signals to help employees speak up during virtual meetings, while other teams have invented new phrases to get meetings back on track, according to the Washington Post.
  • This has come in handy during the coronavirus outbreak: Twitter was the first major tech company to have its workforce start working from home, and CEO Jack Dorsey has told employees they may keep working remotely forever.
  • Twitter has since decided to sublease 100,000 square feet at its San Francisco headquarters and has a policy in place to cut pay for employees who move outside the Bay Area to a less expensive region.

Game time at new-look Hackley Stadium: Watch time-lapse video of $1 million renovation

MUSKEGON – Shane Fairfield was 9 years old when he played his first football game at Hackley Stadium.

Several years later, the memory is still vivid for Muskegon High School’s 11th-year head coach. The stadium, however, looks a bit different.

“That was exciting because I felt like I was in the Big House (at University of Michigan). I mean, being a 9-year-old kid going through that tunnel and seeing the field and there’s no track around it and that kind of stuff, I was blown away then,” Fairfield recalled earlier this week, as he prepared his Big Reds (1-0, 1-0 OK Green Conference) for their big crosstown matchup against Mona Shores (1-0, 1-0).

At 7 tonight, the Big Reds will finally get the opportunity to play in their upgraded, century-old stadium. As fate would have it, the rival Sailors will be on the opposing sideline.

Video gaming as a child related to improvements in memory

A new study exploring the link between video games and cognition finds that playing video games as a child can improve a person’s working memory years later on specific tasks.

Video games can be a contentious topic, particularly among parents or caregivers who may be concerned about the effects of spending hours in front of the console.

Yet, it seems that some video gaming could actually be beneficial. Recent studies have shown that playing video games could improve learning and may even protect against dementia in older adults.

The authors of a recent review of the evidence on video games concluded that gaming could have benefits for both cognitive and emotional skills.

In a new study, which features in the journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, researchers from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya in Barcelona trained volunteers to play “Super Mario 64” — a game that researchers have previously shown

‘Demon’s Souls’ comparison video highlights the remake’s improvements

Following the new gameplay footage of Demon’s Souls on the PS5, a comparison video between the original game and the remake showcases the latter’s improvements.

The game has been outsourced to Bluepoint Games, the developer which most recently worked on the Shadow Of The Colossus Remake, and YouTube user, Joshua Gamez, has created an in-depth video which reveals the improvements between the PS3 and upcoming PS5 version of the game.

The recent gameplay demonstration featured gameplay from Demon’s Souls opening tutorial area. The comparison reveals that lighting is to be an improvement over the original, as Demon’s Souls Remake boasts an atmospheric range of lighting effects. Sunlight seeps through the cracks of buildings in a natural way, and fires deliver a warm, ominous glow.

Character models have also been drastically update, most notably evidenced in the demo’s climactic boss battle against the Vanguard. The hulking monster is seen with

Ocado sales surge as shoppers stay home [Video]

Another busy quarter for the robots at Ocado warehouses…

The UK online supermarket says revenue at its retail arm jumped 52% as shoppers stuck at home opted to get their food delivered.

That took third-quarter revenue to about 756 million dollars.

The growth follows an over-40% surge in the previous quarter.

Online food shopping has more than doubled its share of the UK market since the global health crisis began.

14% of all groceries are now delivered, and Ocado reckons that could hit 30% over the next few years.

The coming quarter will mark a key test for the firm though.

From the first of September it has dropped long-time partner Waitrose.

Instead it will offer products from rival chain Marks & Spencer.

Ocado says customers have responded positively to the switch, with demand for the new range driving an increase in the number of products in customer baskets.

Joy-Anna Duggar Puts on Makeup While Laboring: Birth Video

Up close and personal. One month after their daughter’s birth, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth shared footage from Evelyn’s arrival.

“We arrived at the hospital at 8 p.m. Started a low dose of Pitocin that night to get Joy’s contractions going,” Forsyth, 26, captioned their Saturday, September 5, YouTube video. “At 7:30 a.m. that next morning, the doctor came in and broke her water. Once he did that, contractions became pretty strong and steady and her body started to labor on its own. At around 1 p.m., Joy started pushing and our baby girl arrived at 2:12 p.m!”
