Some Gresham MAX stops to close starting Sunday

The Blue Line Improvement Project is nearing completion, but the final steps require a week-long closure of five Gresham stations.

GRESHAM, Ore. — Heads up for riders of the MAX Blue Line: TriMet is finishing some upgrades to the east end of the line in Gresham, starting this weekend. Part of the work involves rebuilding the only wooden trestle bridge in the entire MAX System.

The nearly year-long Gresham Max Improvement Project is in the home stretch, but that means there’s a week of station closures and shuttle-bus detours for riders who typically use stops from Ruby Junction to Cleveland Avenue — that’s the east end of the Blue Line.

Starting Sunday, TriMet will close those five stations to finish signal upgrades, improve the rail crossing at Eastman Parkway, which will close a section of the parkway for one day, and make repairs to a nearly 80-year-old trestle bridge over

Two settings to achieve max smart home privacy

Some things Google Home knows about you are obvious — what music you like, how bad you are at math — because those are the things you rely on it for the most. But Google Home knows a lot more about you than you might realize. That’s because your smart home speaker is tied to your Google account, so it’s also connected to a deep well of personal information, like your email address and debit or credit card number. That means privacy and security settings are just as important with Google Home as with your Gmail account.

Max Collins shares home water birth experience

Two months after giving birth to her and husband Pancho Magno’s first child, Max Collins recalled for fans her home water birth experience.

On her latest vlog, she started by sharing how she suddenly started getting contractions at around three in the morning on July 6. Feeling so much pain, it was then she realized it was time.

Thankfully, there’s a cellphone app that helped her monitor her contraction.

Because of the scare brought about by the pandemic, Max had to give birth at  home and she started “slightly panicking.”

With the help of her husband they started getting everything ready, including inflating the pool she is to use, filling it up with water.

“He tried to make the room very spa-like with candles and a diffuser and just make it all really nice except we forgot one thing — that our blinds don’t really cover the light so it

HBO Max is giving The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air fans something to be thankful for this fall. To celebrate three decades of Fresh-ness, the cast of the iconic sitcom is reuniting for “an unscripted special looking back at the series and the cultural impact [it] has had since its debut,” TVLine has learned.

Returning cast members include Will Smith (Will), Tatyana Ali (Ashley), Karyn Parsons (Hilary), Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey), Daphne Maxwell Reid (Aunt Viv No. 2), DJ Jazzy Jeff (Jazz) and Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton). Sadly, James Avery — who played beloved family patriarch Philip Banks — died in 2013.

Even though HBO Max is teasing “special surprise guests,” we aren’t holding our collective breath for an appearance from Janet Hubert (Aunt Viv No. 1). The actress, who famously left the show over behind-the-scenes conflict with Smith, reacted to a 2017 cast reunion (pictured above)
