On Wednesday, Kershaw will start a game as a professional in what amounts to his hometown for the first time in his Hall of Fame career. It should be one of two final boxes to check on his Hall of Fame career checklist. The other: Pick up a World Series trophy, which he might just do in three weeks. Also, if he’s lucky, that’s when he’ll see his Highland Park home again.
