Law Grad Goes Into Labor While Taking the Bar Exam, Has Her Baby and Finishes Her Test

Brianna Hill wasn’t going to let anything stand in the way of her taking the bar exam, not even giving birth. And, that is exactly what happened one week ago.

Hill, a recent Loyola University of Chicago School of Law graduate, was in active labor, contractions and all, while taking the first portion of the bar exam, she told Above The Law magazine.

“I started taking the MPT but since we were remote I couldn’t leave view of the camera. As soon as I stood up when I finished, I knew my water had broken,” she told the legal publication.

So she did what any willful, courageous, determined woman would do: she powered through it.

“I took my break, got myself cleaned up, called my husband, midwife and mom, cried because I was a little panicked, then sat down to take the MEE,” she said.

What made the exam particularly

A man has been jailed after he tried to arrange for a baby to be brought to his home to be sexually abused.

Thomas Harrison, 30, messaged a man to bring a child to his house in Streatham Avenue, Mossley Hill, Liverpool, on 27 July.

He was instead met by officers from Merseyside Police and the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) who had been investigating him.

He was arrested and later charged with arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sexual offence.

No child was ever taken to the house or harmed.

‘Of course’: Space City Weather meteorologist’s baby arrived as Tropical Storm Beta neared Texas

Tropical Storm Beta was drizzling on Houston when Denise Lanza noticed she was having regular contractions.

This scenario had been in the back of her mind. Denise, a biological scientist, is married to Matt Lanza, a meteorologist who writes for Space City Weather, a go-to source for the region, especially during storms.

The couple learned in January that they would be having a second child — due in September. Matt felt excited hearing the news, then realized: “Oh, of course, we’re going to have a baby due right at the peak of hurricane season.”

And what a hurricane season it had been. Hurricane Hanna hit Padre Island in July. Hurricane Laura barely missed Houston in August. Planning to name their son Theodore, Matt never imagined Hurricane Teddy would form by September.

Yet already, the National Hurricane Center had identified so many storms that, for the first time since 2005, it

All 16 New ‘Masked Singer’ Cast Costumes Just Dropped, and We Need to Talk About the Baby Alien

From Cosmopolitan

I know we’re all going through a lot right now, but the time has come to check in on America’s (other) national nightmare: The Masked Singer. It seems like just yesterday that the Egg and the Banana landed on the hellscape known as planet Earth, and yet somehow, we’ve already endured three entire seasons of the show. And now, it’s confirmed: We’re gonna have to deal with a fourth. Which means (a) a whole new batch of “celebrity” contestants who need to fire their PR people and (b) a whole new batch of foods/animals that’ll be forever ruined. Truly, I can never eat a taco again thanks to THIS clearly evil criminal mastermind:

‘You’re in labour aren’t you?’: eventer welcomes baby son straight after show

An eventer who went into labour while attending a show has welcomed a healthy baby son, having made it to the hospital in the nick of time.

Cheshire-based Bonnie Fishburn had been at a show four miles from home with her husband Tom Hollins and miniature Shetland pony Mr Pegs on 20 September – a week before Bonnie’s due date.

“I woke up after midnight and it felt like I was having contractions 20 minutes apart. I had been having Braxton Hicks [false labour pains] earlier in the week so I put it down to the same thing and thought it was a false alarm,” Bonnie told H&H.

“At 6am I got up and bathed Mr Pegs for the show, didn’t tell Tom or my mum Lynn what had happened and we carried on to the show.”

Bonnie said as the morning progressed, the intervals between contractions became shorter.

Pregnant Scots mum fears she may have lost baby after medics refused to examine her despite multiple miscarriages

A pregnant Scots mum who fears she may have lost her baby has hit out after doctors refused to examine her despite suffering multiple miscarriages.

Jodi Gray, who is more than 16 weeks pregnant, began having contractions on Tuesday afternoon and called the maternity unit at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The 25-year-old was told medics would not be able to see her in person because she was just days short of the 17 week cut off point.

The officers and their 10-day-old baby escaped injury during the late-night attack, said Camden County Police Chief Joseph Wysocki.

“It shocks the conscience that this occurred,” Wysocki said at a press conference.

“I don’t know why they were targeted,” he added, describing the unnamed couple as “two really good officers assigned to our Neighborhood Response Team.”

“They’re constantly interacting with members of the community,” he said. “We’re looking into every arrest that they have had. We’re not going to

They just couldn’t make it to the hospital, Kevin Byard said.

So on Aug. 23, a day before their baby’s due date, the Titans safety had to deliver his newborn son at his home in Nashville. Byard on Wednesday explained how the harrowing experience unfolded, beginning with his wife, Clarke, waking him up at 10:30 p.m. with contractions that quickly grew in intensity.

Byard said he went downstairs to prepare the car for their trip to the hospital and called their doula, telling her to meet them there. Moments later, Clarke told her husband to pick up the phone

Two weeks ago, Lateefah wrote the first part of her birthing story about how she had 48 hours before she would be induced, but she went into labor before that deadline. And that’s when things started to get interesting. Here’s part 2 of her story.

I really should have listened to Frank.

Countless times during our labor practice, Frank said to me: “Here’s a suggested book about back labor. Maybe you should get it.” But I wouldn’t need that. Our baby had been head down and facing in the right direction for months. Isn’t back labor caused by sunny side up babies? I’m thinking no. As we walked to the waiting car

This low-cost baby health monitor is designed to make baby’s healthcare easy for new parents!

Across the globe in 2018, 2.5 million babies died within their first month of life. Collectively, Africa and Southern Asia made up approximately 87.7% of these deaths. – UNICEF

To address this issue, designers Chris Barnes and others at Cambridge Consultants of Cambridge, UK have designed a wearable health monitor for newborns in areas where current solutions are not easily available. Called ‘Little I’, their innovation empowers parents in low resource countries to monitor the health of their newborns by providing a low-cost, durable device that gives them assurance of their newborn’s survival despite lack of medical knowledge. This service is implemented by NGOs first buying and transporting the device to the community and teaching the workers how to use it. And in parallel, the mother/caregiver would hear about the device within the community and then later be provided one by a health care professional after giving birth. After 28
