Game time at new-look Hackley Stadium: Watch time-lapse video of $1 million renovation

MUSKEGON – Shane Fairfield was 9 years old when he played his first football game at Hackley Stadium.

Several years later, the memory is still vivid for Muskegon High School’s 11th-year head coach. The stadium, however, looks a bit different.

“That was exciting because I felt like I was in the Big House (at University of Michigan). I mean, being a 9-year-old kid going through that tunnel and seeing the field and there’s no track around it and that kind of stuff, I was blown away then,” Fairfield recalled earlier this week, as he prepared his Big Reds (1-0, 1-0 OK Green Conference) for their big crosstown matchup against Mona Shores (1-0, 1-0).

At 7 tonight, the Big Reds will finally get the opportunity to play in their upgraded, century-old stadium. As fate would have it, the rival Sailors will be on the opposing sideline.

Sep 23, 2020 (StockMarket.com via COMTEX) —
Are These The Best Home Improvement Retail Stocks To Buy Right Now?

Retail stocks were harshly affected by the pandemic when it arrived. Some retail companies were able to perform well like Target Corporation (TGT Stock Report) and Walmart Inc. (WMT Stock Report). This was due to them staying open despite the worldwide closures of retail stores. It seems like home improvement companies were able to see the same benefits as the companies mentioned above.

This is due to the large increase in home improvement during the quarantine. Since people are or were stuck at home, home improvement has been the main focus for plenty with nothing else to do. So the top home improvement retail stocks being open for the majority of 2020 has caused them to perform well.

Sector Watch: Work-from-home stocks look to rebound (NYSEARCA:WFH)

Work-from-home stocks tracked the broader technology selloff into correction territory last week.

The Nasdaq Composite is down 10.7% from its recent high, in what’s considered a correction. The Nasdaq 100 is also down 10.7%. Both fell below their 50-day simple moving averages this week.

“Prudence, rather than conviction about what the future may hold, suggests that a partial rebalance out of QQQ and its richly-valued components is probably a good idea at current levels,” D.M. Martins Research wrote on Seeking Alpha.

The Direxion Work From Home ETF (NYSEARCA:WFH) is down 2.2% in the last five days, but is off 10.7% from its recent September highs.

Cloud communications company Twilio (NYSE:TWLO) is the largest holding, at 4.95% of the ETF. It’s down nearly 4% in the last five days and off more than 20% from the recent closing high hit on Sept. 1. But it’s still up more than 157% in

Lowe’s Earnings: 3 Trends to Watch

Investors have pushed Lowe’s (NYSE:LOW) stock returns well above the broader market this year, which is no shock given that consumer spending has surged in its home improvement retailing niche. But the chain has even outpaced its bigger rival Home Depot (NYSE:HD) in 2020, mainly thanks to its double-digit revenue spike in the pandemic-influenced first quarter.

Lowe’s will reveal in its earnings report on Wednesday, Aug. 19, whether those market share gains continued into the second quarter. Investors will also be focused on management’s outlook for the second half of the year, which could be cautious due to recessionary selling conditions.

With that bigger picture in mind, let’s look at three trends to follow in Lowe’s report next week.
