Shooters Open Fire On Home Of New Jersey Police Officers In ‘Targeted Attack,’ Chief Says

Topline

At least one gunman attacked the home of two Camden County, New Jersey police officers and their 10-day old infant earlier this week in what the police chief has since labeled a “targeted attack,” which came days after two Los Angeles deputy sheriffs were ambushed by gunfire in their vehicles.

Key Facts

The officers and their baby were not injured in the Tuesday attack, Camden Police Chief Joseph Wysocki said at a Thursday press conference.

Investigators believe two suspects, driven by a third, pulled up outside the officers’ Camden County home before midnight on Tuesday and sprayed bullets, with at least two piercing the front door.

“I do know that this was a targeted attack against this residence and the officers inside,” said Wysocki, who described the couple as “two really good officers” who were “constantly interacting with members

The officers and their 10-day-old baby escaped injury during the late-night attack, said Camden County Police Chief Joseph Wysocki.

“It shocks the conscience that this occurred,” Wysocki said at a press conference.

“I don’t know why they were targeted,” he added, describing the unnamed couple as “two really good officers assigned to our Neighborhood Response Team.”

“They’re constantly interacting with members of the community,” he said. “We’re looking into every arrest that they have had. We’re not going to

Interior design tricks that brought calm to a chaotic open floor plan

Marta and Scott Dragos built their Winchester home with an open floor plan. Not just because that’s how today’s families live, but because Scott, a former NFL player, is a pretty big guy. “We eliminated walls so my husband wouldn’t feel like he was living in a dollhouse,” Marta says.

However, with three young children and a puppy, the first floor felt chaotic. Everyone congregated in the great room, and the television was often left on during meals at the adjacent dining table. Meanwhile the formal living room sat empty, and never mind the mess in the playroom, which was the first thing people saw when they walked in. “The synergies of the rooms were off and not suited to our life,” Marta says.

Enter Liza Kugeler and Laura Ogden of Realm Interiors, who reconfigured and redecorated. Not only did they bring order to the home, they incorporated Marta’s stylish

Big Mike’s Fat Kitchen is set to open a shop in Nottingham selling mouth-watering cheesecakes

The name’s Big Mike – and he’s about to open a ‘fat kitchen’ in Nottingham selling delicious cheesecakes.

But if it hadn’t been for lockdown it might never have been on the cards.

Mike Jones would probably still be working as a service adviser for Audi – a job he’d been in for a year – but being furloughed gave him the opportunity to spend more time in the kitchen of his new home.

And the result has been Cheesecakes by Big Mike’s Fat Kitchen – mouth-watering desserts in a variety of flavours.

“I’ve always been called Mikey, ever since school but when I started at Audi there was another Mike in the workshop, a little bloke, so they referred to me as Big Mike,” said the 6ft 3in cheesecake supremo, who in three months has sold more than 500.

After doing a roaring trade through a home delivery service,
