MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police have arrested the owner of a Mt. Juliet roofing company accused of scamming a Nashville homeowner out of nearly $1,200.
James Kenton, the owner of Tennessee Metal Roofing, was booked into the Metro jail Saturday on a felony charge of home improvement fraud.
According to an arrest warrant, a company employee completed an estimate for a new roof on a Nashville residence in late April. The representative quoted the homeowner $11,990 for the new roof, so he paid a $1,190 deposit and signed a contract, the paperwork states.
Following an inspection of the homeowner’s current roof, the resident told police he was informed by the company that his contract was no longer valid and a new contract would need to be completed with a “significantly higher” price. AUSTIN, TX — Even as other eateries are closing their doors after financially succumbing to the coronavirus pandemic, Juliet Italian Kitchen on Monday announced plans to open a second location with an accompanying hiring spree.
The second restaurant will be opened at The Arboretum along 10000 Research Blvd. by February 2021, officials said in an emailed advisory. The restaurant will be open seven days a week and serve lunch, dinner, happy hour and weekend brunch, officials said, with menus featuring Juliet’s classic dishes such as its 17-layer lasagna, a robust wine list and seasonal cocktails plus new options unique to the location.

A huge Amazon facility under construction in Mt. Juliet that is scheduled to be operational in 2021 has several road improvements to come with it.
The five-story facility is projected to have 3.52 million square feet of warehouse space and 80,000 square feet of office space on land off Golden Bear Gateway, East Division and Athletes Way North.
