All 16 New ‘Masked Singer’ Cast Costumes Just Dropped, and We Need to Talk About the Baby Alien

From Cosmopolitan

I know we’re all going through a lot right now, but the time has come to check in on America’s (other) national nightmare: The Masked Singer. It seems like just yesterday that the Egg and the Banana landed on the hellscape known as planet Earth, and yet somehow, we’ve already endured three entire seasons of the show. And now, it’s confirmed: We’re gonna have to deal with a fourth. Which means (a) a whole new batch of “celebrity” contestants who need to fire their PR people and (b) a whole new batch of foods/animals that’ll be forever ruined. Truly, I can never eat a taco again thanks to THIS clearly evil criminal mastermind:

Powell to cast recovery as improving, yet highly uncertain, in testimony before lawmakers

Still, with about half of the 22 million payroll jobs lost in March and April still off the books, Powell’s statement suggests the rise in joblessness has been especially severe for low-wage workers, women and people of color.

“A full recovery is likely to come only when people are confident that it is safe to reengage in a broad range of activities,” according to Powell’s written statement. “The path forward will depend on keeping the virus under control, and on policy actions taken at all levels of government.”

Powell is scheduled to testify at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday alongside Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. Both will also appear on Thursday before the Senate Banking Committee to give updates on the Cares Act, the federal coronavirus aid bill passed in March.

Powell is likely to get questions from lawmakers on the Fed’s Main Street lending program, which has become the focus of an

UNL students excited to vote, expected to cast ballots by mail | Education

By scanning QR codes positioned around the tent, students were taken directly to Vote.org, a nonprofit, nonpartisan platform that allows voters to enter basic information to register to vote in all 50 states and territories, or to check the status of their existing registration.

A QR code takes students to vote.org to confirm their voter registration.

It’s quick and easy, Collier said, taking just a few minutes in most cases. For students who may not be comfortable with registering online, the voter drive sponsored by the Huskers Vote Coalition and ASUN also had paper registrations for students to register to vote from their campus address.

Who Pays for ‘Kitchen Crashers’? It Isn’t Easy to Get Cast on the Show

As fans of Kitchen Crashers know, the DIY Network program loves to surprise unsuspecting shoppers at home improvement stores with professional remodels, but who is expected to pay for these pricy renovations?

Lucky for us, past participants have opened up about their experiences on the various Crashers shows (which include Kitchen, Yard, Bath, House, and Room), though getting cast is tougher than you think.

Who pays for the work on ‘Kitchen Crashers’?

All five versions of Crashers use the same production company, Big Table Media, who foots the bill for the projects. However, local businesses typically donate their goods and services in exchange for free advertising.

Never mind my Dad, Donald Trump Jr. tells Georgia voters. Cast an absentee ballot

In an interview on WSB Radio this morning, host Scott Slade asked Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger what he thought of the Carter Center’s announcement that it would monitor the Nov. 3 election for fairness – its first observation mission inside the borders of the U.S.

Raffensperger, the state’s top election official, didn’t say he approved – but he didn’t disapprove, either:

“Our office has been reaching out to nonprofit groups such as the Carter Center. We’ve been working with the King Center, the bishop of the AME church — he wants to volunteer his churches as polling locations…

“We always welcome people that want to be part of the positive, constructive solution, making sure that it’s easy to vote In Georgia, that we have the appropriate safeguards. Because we understand we’re going to have a big turnout this year. Both sides are watching this, even folks down the middle.”

‘Home Improvement,’ ‘Friends’ & More Cast Reunions Coming to TV

There’s never been a better time for nostalgic TV reunions and there are plenty coming to viewers in the future. Here are four big cast reunions we can’t wait for:

Home Improvement

It’s Tool Time again! Sort of.  Home  Improvement‘s Tim Allen and Richard Karn, who played Tim Taylor and Al Borland, respectively, on the 1991–99 ABC sitcom, are rejoining forces for Assembly Required, a 10-episode competition coming to History next year. Contestants will rebuild common household items, trying to, yes, improve them. The duo, who cohost and judge, will also dig into the products’ history. Says Allen: “I’ve created a show to remind people of the satisfaction and pride that comes from rebuilding something on their own.”

Google Assistant devices and cast targets can now be added to and removed from multi-room audio on the fly

For those of you who use your Assistant-equipped Smart Displays and speakers to broadcast music around different rooms of the house at the same time, Google has made a small improvement. Devices and cast targets can now be added and removed on the fly without creating new groups, which should make things a little more convenient for some.

Google has made small improvements to multi-room audio as time has gone by, including individual speaker volume control and the ability to change a cast target or cast to an already created group. This latest update, however, allows you to “dynamically group multiple cast-enabled Nest devices (speakers, Smart Displays, Chromecasts) in real-time to fill multiple rooms with music.” What this means is that you no longer need to pre-create groups to determine which devices/rooms the audio will be sent to; instead, you can simply choose which devices you want to have audio
