Late Musician Dave Brubeck’s Jazzy Japanese-Inspired Home Available for $2.75M

An impeccably composed home built for the late jazz musician Dave Brubeck has come on the market. The estate in Wilton, CT, is listed for $2.75 million.

The home was built for the Brubeck family in the early 1960s by the architect Beverley David Thorne, and was designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding land.

The structure itself is a melodious midcentury modern gem. Brubeck had toured Japan and fallen for its architecture, and, on the exterior of the home, the Japanese influences include the arresting red moon gate as well as the idyllic Japanese garden.
